SCAPE Business Case Templates Published

The SCAPE project has developed three business case templates to support potential users understand the business context of implementing SCAPE tools in their organisation. The templates provide a detailed overview of the benefits, costs and risks of three SCAPE technologies:

  • Jpylyzer (a software tool designed to help identify broken or invalid JP2 files)
  • The SCAPE Platform (the scalable architecture and toolset developed by SCAPE to address the preservation processing of large datasets)
  • The Planning and Watch Suite (the assessment and decision making tools and approaches developed by SCAPE)

The business cases each follow the same approach that is used in the Digital Preservation Business Case Toolkit, developed during the SPRUCE project. This provides users with additional background information and business case examples.
