Deliverable D17.1 presents the work done towards the first experimental preservation workflows relating to STFC’s research datasets testbed in the SCAPE project. The testbed relates to data from the ISIS facility, a large neutron and muon source used by a large number of researchers for a wide variety of scientific investigations. Some sample datasets have been made available, and a number of scenarios produced that capture the preservation issues arising from the ISIS data. An experimental workflow has been developed that performs some ingest-related operations on the data. This will form the basis for further development of workflows and preservation components in the remainder of the project.
